cd installation help

my g/f has a 98 escort zx2 and i was trying to remove the stock dash plate with the two metal hooks u get at any sound shop for removing radios...but the dash plate wont move..is ther a clip or something i have to undo to take off the dash plate?..i want to install a cs player but cant get teh dam plate off:banghead:....help:feedback:

Up underneath the dash to the right of the gas pedal, there's going to be a big cable that you'll have to unhook. It's one of the air control's cables. Once you undo that, the radio should come right out. The end of the cable is basicly a big round circle, There's a plastic clip in the middle of it that holds it onto the assembly. Just gently pry the clip to one side, and remove the cable.
