Can I Take A 04 Lightning?

Well this guy down the street from where i work at wants to race and he has a stock 04 lightning, now i saw the specs and he has about 380hp but he's hauling more weight so can it be a close race. And i already ordered a tnt dry nitrous system it should be in by tommorow.

Now what i was thinking is bet him some cash right now and hope i win and then install my nitrous system and race him again for more cash.

Havent taken car to dyno but i should be at around 330hp mark. and the lightning weighs around 4,500lbs.

well yes and no, i'll race him this time and if i loose i'll pay up, but this weekend when i get my nitrous system installed i'll want a rematch and bet some more cash

Considering that he weighs about 4500lbs, you weigh a 1000lbs. less than that an have about 330hp. You 3500/330hp to his 4500/380hp. I say you win.

I don't know a whole lot about the lightenings, but my educated wildassguestimate says that you will win this one. Now if he pulley's that thing and can get it to hook, I say you lose. I also bet he will have trouble hooking too.

And if it goes above 90 You'll get him from aerodynamics.

I don't have much exp. with lightnings, but trucks in general usually have a harder time getting traction than cars.

....dont mean to be the antagonist here but without knowing z28's power and not knowing what kinda stuff is done to the lightning...id say that the lightning has a very strong chance of winning depending on how fast the race goes.

And i just had my tranny fully rebuilt and it fucken hauls ass, i can tell more power is getting to the wheels.

you'll demolish him... trust me, when i had stock throttle body, 3.42 gears, and i was losing 20 degrees of timing everytime i punched it, i still put 4 cars on him half way through second gear... they're not as fast as people think. and the one i raced had a smaller pulley and a chip

Well im a $100 bucks richer now, i raced him last night i ended up putting three car lengths before i shut down, and we raced one more for fun and i owned him bad that time, he didn't hook and just stood there spinning tires, and i put over a about 2 bus lengths on him
