Looking for some parts

:banghead: Hate to bother everyone about this but none of my local yards can help. I'm looking for a tailgate and rear bumper for my 91 fleetside. Any ideas where i can find reasonable priced parts?

As far as the tail gate is concerned I would check a couple of body shops and see if they can get it after market, the bumper any parts store should be able to get you a fey bumper. The universals fit good and are inexpensive, the direct fits fit a little better but are more money. You could also see if you could find a place that re-chromes bumpers they are usually fairly good priced. Hope this helps.

try to stay away from aftermarket parts for one the quality and fit are nowhere near OEM, the a/m tailgates crack after a while from use and the fit is horrible. also they are not capa certified which means the fit, quality and strength are not there. as for the bumper completely stay away, the aftermarkets do not treat the rear of the bumper so they rust immed. literaly after one year the bumper will be rotted out if you live in a cold snowy climate. call local junk yards that specialize in newer vehicles that get wrecked and they part them out, also look on ebay you can get some good deals there. i am an appraiser for an insurance company and i deal with the aftermarket krap all day.
