i have some caddy gages for my 2001 silverado and i was wondering if any one here has put them in their truck. the caddy gage has a trans temp gage and my stock one does not, does this mean that the gage wont work? does any one get what im trying to ask??

You just need to get someone to reprogram the caddy gauge so it will read the correct mileage. It is a plug and play, many of us did it on other vehicles.

Depending on who you order, I've heard you give them the mileage and they'll program it before you get it.
So I'd advise if you do this to not drive until you get it.

my gages came out of a car and they were passed down to me, the gages have 10,000 more miles on them than my truck has. i installed them to make sure they work, they do but the tranny temp gage didnt even reach 100 when i drove to work, what is a normal tranny temp reading??

The tranny will take a while to warm up. Unlike the engine the tranny takes its time........... Once it is warm it takes a good while to cool down.........
