Love sucks

For all of you guys who are trying desperately to address the issues of love and relationships....don't bother.Love is the technical term for mutual usage.Nothing more.And when there is no common need,there cannot be love.So don't waste your life on the wrong person.If it feels bad,don't spend too long trying to fix it.

There are 2 types of love, the first is usually physical and is only natural, then there is the feeling you have for the other person. When you can combine both, you usually have the best results, however, sometimes people will lie about one type to get the other type. It works both ways.:uhoh:

I will only let people close who i know I won't fall in love with. Therefore I won't get hurt again. But they will still be good friends.

i do, but yet i don't...i know the downsides of a relationship, but i also know the good sides of one....i mean me and ally (my girlfriend of like a year) are pretty damn serious and we have our share of fights...(the bad part) and that she lives a ways from my house(even worse), but yet we still have a healthy thing going on and i love her and she loves me and if i get hurt...at least i'll know that there is something called love somewhere, just that it has 2 be found somehow.....and that sex is good....but imma run now b4 yall beat the tar out of me for being positive in a negative thread.....sorry just that i finally got to sleep over her house and that the only thing keeping me awake is the bowl of frosted flakes that i ate for breakfast in her kitchen.....

I dated my ex-wife for several months, then we decided to live together, which we did for a year before we got married. Now I'm not saying your situation is the same, but that year was like a year of bliss and I think we didn't know what we were getting into, because we were just trying to make each other happy. There were little signs that told me we disagreed on some things but I disregarded them. We continued to have a happy life for 8 years, then those little signs revealed the true differences we had concerning life and the future. We continued to believe that it would get better, but it didn't. Even the marriage counseler saw that it wouldn't last at the 8 year mark, but being stubborn we refused to listen, but then again, that's why they are the proffesionals. The moral of the story is, don't rush into anything, if you're young, make sure you know what you're getting into and when you're ready your heart and mind will know when the time is right, but don't let the physical urges cloud your judgement.

Well due to previous events in my life, some caused by other people, and some brought on by myself, I am very untrusting on the subject of Love or when someone tries to get close to me.

Its probably the reason I haven't had a girlfriend in a really long time or get very nervous or anxious when trying to approach the situation.

does it make anybody happy if i say that i love all of you guys? (well that i think that yall are wiked cool and that i feel like giving everybody a hug right now..or at least buy a round one day when i'm legal to drink) and carnut, i thank you for your advise, you're mad cool man and those were some ill words of advise i'll keep that in mind...i don't want to go through any of those ordeals that you've been through man. and taranaki, you're one of the illest in my book man...mad cool:)

Thanks, I think, anything to help a fellow AF enthusiast. I enjoy helping other people when I can because people have helped me also and I am very grateful for that too, but you'll never hear about [B]THE GOOD STUFF because it is locked up in my Fortress of Solitude which only few people have entered.

I don't completely doubt that things will happen. Just become a bit of a cynical bastard lately. But then again I have my moments as does everyone.

That whole love issue is interesting.

I'm 17, and got a longterm girlfriend who is pretty close to me. She seems pretty in love with me, and whats to spend lots of time, etc with me. I really like this girl, but I'm not sure if its love, and the longer our relationship goes the more I feel that I'm less in love with her. (oh this is my 1st girlfriend etc). But then there are problems like I'm joining the RNZAF next year, and moving to Australia to train, and this doesn't go down very well AT ALL.

So my problem is whether I stick with my girlfriend till the end of the year, or end it and experience life somewhat more, as there are some other girls that are interested in me. <-- ie using Taranakis point about not spending time to fix it.

Love is one of the most difficult things to discuss, because most people are afraid of it, yet everyone wants it (on some level)

I could go into a deeper, more philosophized description based on what i've experienced, but it might not be the same for someone else reading this. Which is exactly why love is difficult to talk about, everyone experiences it in a different way. It's hard to understand how someone else "loves" when your idea of love may be completely different. Quintessentially, it's still love. But love comes in many forms. Chose what you love, and love what you chose. That's the only way to have fun in life. Besides having a sweet ride, of course :dogpile:
