Installing Luggage Rack

Hi all...I was hoping someone can give me a few tips on installing a luggage rack. I have a 99 caravan, & I really need this rack badly!! I want the permanent rack over the removable one. Thanks for any input at all.

:frown: ...Anyone ??? The rack I want to install is coming off a '00 caravan, I'm not thrilled with the idea of drilling in my roof, just want to see if maybe someone did this job & can tell me how it came out. Thanks..

The dealership can tell you how, they can give you a print-out.

Not a problem. I'm sure if you bought it off them, they will also tell you how to do it. the do this for the tech there that are unsure how to install it.

Thats just it vamc...I bought the rack off ebay, with know instructions. It came with 10 1 1/2 panhead screws. I placed the rack where it seemed to hug the roof the best...I drilled to start the screws, globbed silicone over the screws & tightened. I'm giving it a test this weekend with luggage, hopefully clothes arent thrown all over the turnpike....:p

Is it the same style as oe? If so, the dealer will have in install instructions. if not, not to sure.
