96 golf 2.0 clutch cable question???

Hi, my clutch cable just broke yesterday near the end. I was just wanted to know if it's a job i can do like on the side of the road and if theres any special thing i have to do to fix it?? I dont want to go into it blindly and just want some info on them.. thanks!

a bit awkward to change! but not hard! you'll need to remove the windscreen wipers, beleive it or not, in order to feed the new cable through as the plastic covering beneath the windscreen covers it all up.
as for removing the old one, start by getting it off the pedal and then it should pull all the way out!
