my speedo goes only up to 120mph but i still have 2000 revs to go. but after 110 the car really slows down and i have to realy try to get it to hit 115.

I top out at 140 at 6500 rpm's, if i were to put higher gears in the rear i could go faster.
Oh and just because you still have rpm's to go doesnt mean that you have the power to take it their!

point taken, but once I hit 110, I still pull well up to 120 no problem, infact from 100 to 120 its still pulling hard. If I didnt have 3.08's it wouldnt be such the case, but sence I do. :flipa:

180km how fast is that? i think thats a good 120mph. and khmer_racer, if your car barely goes over 100. how do you have a 12 second car? your trap speed needs to be well over 100 to hit a 12 second quarter mile. the average trap speed of a 12 second car is around 120-125mph

95mph was the fastest i've gone in my van.. it was a bit hairy at that speed in the van. It should get past 100... I predict that it'll top out around 110. Hopefully, i'll get a chance to find out soon.

Out by me, you can go basically as fast as you want on some parts of the freeway, on a few of the downhill sections, you can see all the way to the bottom of the freeway during the day, as long as one of the cars next to you isnt an unmarked po-po, you can speed away...
I used to drive 110 to school everyday on the freeway (In my parent's Accord), but I had a few instances where I saw a cop and had to hit the breaks... I got good at the 110-70 mph drop, never got caugt... but I was probably just lucky

I've never tried to top it out... but i drive a Tempo so it can't be that high. besides, its hard to control my bone-stock tempo when i hit 120km/h
but the fastest i've ever driven? my uncles Grand National, i think i hit 200 km/h in that thing, mighta been more, at that speed i was more worried about the road than the speedo

i've gotten up to 215 on a long stretch of highway. it was kinda scary but at the same time sweet. the slightest movement of the wheel and the car practically veers left or right

you could do alot more in a T/A, especally of that year. I can do 120 in my T-bird and have fine controll, I know for a fact. And the suspension is much MUCH better on the T/A, and you get more grip on the road.

If I had gotten the RX7 going, maybe 140 at the end of the 1/4 mile. Instead, that project gets scrapped, I need the money for the 931. The 931 should be able to do 150mph...

Yeah, I would have put it together, but I didn't have the time to pull the C6 from the LTD, so no good...

i mean, my 83 toyota corona's speedo says it will reach 220kph but i know that absolute cr** the most i've ever taken it to is 140, and it maxed out
the only way really to know how fast your car will go is to find a nice stretch of highway, thats really flat, pedal to the metal...

Well I would have to agree there. NEVER believe your speedometer. Mine only says 125 MPH but I have hit 143 MPH. How do I know this you ask? I have a buddy that is on the highway patrol. I got him to clock me on an old back road that nobody is ever on. I hit 143 and the tach was about 500 revs from redline so I figure that 145 or so is probably max for my car. I don't plan on going that fast again any time soon.
