My mechanic says he thinks it is a motor mount. It makes a grunting noise with a vibration when stopped in any forward gear. It make bang when cold starting too. Has anyone seen this, does it indeed sound like a motor mount? Is it going to damage something else if let go?
TIA

He thinks it's the motor mount?! Why not put it on the lift and find out for sure. Or use a jack and jackstands. Yes. As far as what it would damage alot of different things. Think about it this way everytime you step on that gas pedal that motor will start to torque (turning) something might break or slip off, hit a bump or something motor might get knock off it base (highly unlikely but who knows). In any case if it is the motor mount get it fixed you don't want problems down the road.
TIA

Hey Hendrix31,,
Mine went bad last week and I stopped driving it until I can put them in this weekend. Had the same symptoms as you too. How many miles did you have? Did you do it yourself? Gimme details... Thanks and Cheers
