I've had my Honda Prelude for 6 months now, and i'm noticing that whenever the car in left outside in extreme heat, the car won't start. Engine light comes on and if I have my sports button active, that flashes too.I was told that it could be the dizzy (not exactly sure what a dizzy is) that's causing the problem.
If anyone has had the same problem with their Honda's, please let me know thanks :).

Does the engine crank at all? If it turns over but won't start it's probably your main relay -
"The main relay on Honda vehicles may often cause intermittent no-start conditions, especially when the weather gets hot." Replace it or you can search this website for info on how to fix it yourself (it involves re-soldering the contacts).
Dizzy is short for distributor.

I had the same problem but its a easy fix.... turn your car on but dont start it and listen for a click in the left side of the dashboard. Try 2-3x....if u dont
hear a click its the main relay to fuel line:banghead: 80.00 at the dealer
hoped it helped :)

You didn't mention what year you had but I had two black 89 accords that has the distributor on top of the engine near the hood. When it got hot outside, it would do the same as yours did, crank but not start and then just shutoff. My mechanic told me that I need to open the hood for approx 10-15 mins, this would allow the engine compartment to cool down and then it would start!! sounds weird but it worked!!! there's something in the dist that causes this that Honda didnt tell us about!!! Hope this helps.
