I have a 99 F-150 Pickup. I recently installed a fulley built longblock engine in place of the stock one, to support the lightning blower I have on it.
I noticed that there is oil getting in the coolant tank. Any Ideas?

Head gasket.. Or it could be leaking transmission fluid into the radiator, if it's an automatic. Is the transmission fluid low?

Its definitly engine oil. They're brand new headgaskets, $300 racing style head gaskets made of steel. Hard to belived its a busted head gasket, But you never know ( factory Defect mabey?):banghead:

Does the engine or radiator have a engine oil cooler?
Or does the blower run under oil pressure and coolant cooled?
Also watch the engine oil for coolant it could start leaking coolant into the engine oil to.

The Supercharger has a self contained oil supply, And its own cooling system w/ intercooler.
The thing is i dint build the engine i purchased the engine as a longblock from VT engines ( 5.4 liter street). www.vtengines.com (http://www.vtengines.com)

That could be one suspect.
If you have someone that knows about them have it checked out.
They may know how to pressure check it.
And remember if it gets worse it could go the other way to.
And put coolant in the oil which is not good on engines.
Good Luck and take care of that engine.

If it's motor oil, could be head gasket. If tranny fluid, could be vacuum modulator.

If your oil filter housing has a couple of large water hoses attached to it, they are part of the oil cooling circuit and this wouldn't be the first one I heard that was leaking oil into the anti-freeze.

Does the engine have a warranty? I'd just let the builder worry about it if I were you.
