2000 LS: Driver's side window

Hi All--i got in my car this weekend and rolled my window down. As i was doing this, i heard what sounded like a pebble or some sand inside the door rubbing on the glass and grinding in the window's motor. Now, when i put the window down, it appears to move out of place (ie, it looks like it falls to the right a few centimeters as though it isn't attached to anything) and then slide down--and i dont hear the crunching sound anymore. However, when i try to put the window up, it basically gives up after laboring upwards to about the midway point. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas as to a fix/pricing? Thanks for the help!

It's a failed window regulator. I had all 4 of those go in my LS. I can't remember, but I believe it's around $100 with labor.
