'90 TC brake replacement Question

Hey Folks,
My Girl has a 90 TC Cartier, and her brakes are shot to hell and definatly need to be replaced. Replacing the brakes is not a problem for me, but the parts are. not really sure if this car uses rotors or drums, pads or shoes, or anything else. Just trying to get a little info on this matter. Thanks everybody

Hi Benny,
The girl's TC has four wheel disc brakes, rears have parking brake shoes as well.
The pads will be dependant on whether the TC has Steel Caliper pistons, or phenolic (plastic) pistons. The pads are different for the two and both were used in 1990. Optionally, you could just buy Loaded Calipers that would already have a piston/pad match although pad quality may be an issue.
May also have ABS, some didn't. Salted roads cause these brake lines to rot through due to the fact that the lines sit atop the frame rails rather than hanging under them, crap lands on the lines and no-one washes it off. That said, you may find yourself replacing miles of brake line if those conditions exist.
Newer rear calipers require screwing in the caliper pistons, I don't believe the 1990 has those.
Parts are relatively cheap, but stay away from cheap parts. The aftermarket Asian rotors are SHIT. Get the Bendix rotors, and low dusting Bendix pads as well, if you don't feel the need to put the $$ into her, get the best quality from whichever brand you choose. No offense, but women in general are either accellerating or braking.
