I was checking out ams's site and found this evo turbo http://www.amsperformance.com/store/product_reviews_info.php?products_id=515&reviews_id=4
That is quite possibly the coolest thing i've ever seen. Damn expensive though...

900 WHP plus CAPABLE!!!!
When a GT35R just isnt enough and beating everything is! AMS offers the GT42R Turbo Kit.
This is the ultimate drag racing turbo kit for your Evo. This is the same turbo kit found on the worlds quickest and fastest EVO VIII and the two highest HP EVO VIII's in the world. Full spool up on a 2.0L is between 5500-5700 rpm. If you are running a 2.3 stroker expect full spool by 5000-5200 rpm. Even with these remarkably quick spool-up times this turbo kit is not meant for road racing and will probably be considered too laggy on the street for daily driving purposes.
The AMS EVO VIII GT42R Turbo Kit consists of the following:
# AMS Custom GT42R Turbo header with Divided Collector
# Garrett GT42R Turbo
# Twin Tial 38 MM Wastegates of your color choice
# 4" Stainless Steel V-band Downpipe to terminate under the car
# 3" Lower IC pipe for use with our Race AMS FMIC
# All necessary Oil and Water Lines
# Small Koyo Radiator Modified to use on the EVO VIII and IX
# Silver High Temp Coating on the Header, Turbine Housing and Downpipe
On our shop AMS EVO VIII this kit made over 800 HP to the wheels on 44 psi. On an AMS 2.3 stroker motor it made over 900 whp on only 44 psi.* This kit has been proven to pull low 9 sec ET's
Watch the AMS EVO VIII Run a 9.41 w/this turbo kit. Watch Chris's Evo VIII Break 900 AWHP.
I'd say thats why its worth so much. lol

If you break it down thats a lot of money...
I think kevin should get it for his evo.

I just don't get why it has two wastegates though... Is that for running higher boost and preventing boost creep?

I was actually looking at buying a slightly used AMS GT35R turbo kit. Ultimately though I have to stick to my original plan to keep the turbo "stock appearing" so it will likely be a BR 20g in the stock housings. A couple cars have run 11.3s on it, and at 11.49 I need a cage, which I do not intend to put in this car ay time soon ;)
The dual WGs allow them to run a split turbine housing pairing up cylinders, much like the stock twin scroll turbine housing and manifold.

I thought that looked familiar. Someone posted those vids like a week back or so. I asked the same thing about the wastegates. That is one sexy kit. I think we should all sell our cars, then buy me an EVO and this turbo. I'll drive it, mod it, and everything else. You guys just have to sacrific your rides for me. Ok?...Ok.
