I bought a set of procomp shocks from 4wheel parts in Burbank. I don't remember what series or model number they were, but the were $30-40 apiece. One day I'm driving to work and hear something in the rear end. Since I was two blocks from work I decide to check it out in the parking lot. Driving into the lot, my car pitches up like I ran over something. Turns out it the rear shock had broken and caught on the metal track that the parking lot's gate ran on. The metal shaft that ran through the "eye" of the upper part of the shock had sheared in half. Sure they replaced it, but I'm just happy it didn't happen on the freeway and send me rolling. To this day I wish I had spent more money on better shocks...
