i always start with the wheel arches because the rest of the car evolves round them.

usually when im drawing i start with a strait line. in my silverado pic i started with the front bumper because it was strait, and then from there i just measure with my eye the sizes and distances, and angles of the headlights, grill, windshield, etc. hope this helps.

First of all, draw some perspective guidelines. Then draw the wheels, then botton of the car and then just work from there, thats what i do.

thats not qiute a stupid question...but hard to find an answer...its personal my technique is similar to DP's i start w/ perspective but then i find something about the car that stands out....like a windshield or something......just something u have to try

I usually make a line on the bottom of my paper as a guide where the sideskirts and bumper will hit, and draw from the far front bumper across to the rear bumper

It's easier to constructa box first. then you have some guidelines you can orientate in.
Be sure that you always start with less details. Draw the whole cars shape and important lines such as shoulder line windows etc before you add any details like small air inttakes or doorhandles or whatever.

make a box where the car is in, make a rectangle for the wheelbase, and lines for reference that match the different parts of the car, and then work off of that.
