ok, i just recently swaped a used tranny into my 94 civic ex because mine went out, i bought a new flywheel and clutch kit. it is in and works but the clutch pedal is just not right. it is really soft and engages the clutch about a inch off the floor.
I have bleed the hyd. system 4 times and i hope that i just still have air in my lines but i cant get it out. i have checked for leaks and found none, there is no fuild under the clutch pedal and i looked thoughout this forum and tried bleeding it with it running and a person inside the car holding the clutch pedal down while i open the vent on the slave.
i tried gravity bleeding it and that didnt work.
i talked to a local mechanic and he said unbolt the slave cylinder and tip the rod down and pump it till the air came out, yes air came out and when it stopped i put the slave back on but im still left with a spongy clutch pedal.
help please.

put a new slave and master they are cheap and a good ensurase that you wont have any problems in the future by bending the fork. you can check the slave boot and see if its wet thats a sign its bad but the master its not that easy the seal can be broken internally and not see any fluid leaking.
