Greetings:)
I recently purchased a 93 Regal Custom sedan. Very nice shape with only 89,000 miles. Problem is the doors lock when shifted into gear, but they don't unlock when shifted back into park. I'm looking for the color code of the wiring on the steering column so I can either attempt to fix or simply disable them from locking in the first place. Thanks!

I don't think the locks are designed to unlock when put into park or when you shut the car off. I have a 93 as well and mine does the same thing.

I also have a 93 Buick Regal with 73,400 miles on it and my locks engage when put into gear. and I have to unlock it myself ... I know it gets a little annoying after awhile. but you will get used to it after awhile

Well, my mother's 96 LeSabre and my gf's 95 Caddy both unlock when you shift back to park. I only assumed that no oem would be stupid enough to build a car that locks you in by itself, but doesn't unlock so you can get out. I still need to know the color code so I can disconnect this idiotic device!
