Noooo Way!!!

Why the F.... should that happend to ME!!!


Now I have been waiting for 4 month for my almost new SR20VE engine 5-10000 km. and It have finally arrived, just to find out that the valve cover is completely smashed. Either somthing have falled down on it or it have felt down from a truck.

The damage is OFCOURSE in the end where the cam wheels are placed, so in worst case I need a new valve cover, two new cams and two new cam wheels!!! :(

I will post some pictures of the engine tomorrow!!! :(

Thats crap news to hear. I'd be asking some bloody questions to the people that looked after it and be demanding some pretty good answer's.

That thing puts out like 190 hp huh? Are you doing the swap yourself?

what they do fly by your house and just chuck the engine out :rolleyes:

make sure there aint no bit lying around down the side next to the chain drive, cos you dont want it flying around in there when your going.

Wow! that is really poor treatment.

I wouldn't even bother unpacking it any further, for the cover to be smashed that badly theres just way to much of a chance that theres a crack in the head or block.

It's either been dropped or had something VERY heavy put on it, I would assume in transit.

Did you get it from a local importer?

Here are the latest status!

We have taken everything of the engine so we could clean it proberly!!

For what we can see the head haven't taken damage, but we are going to change.

Generator Wheel
Power Steering Wheel
Timing wheel
Valve cover
Cam Wheels/gears
Chain
complete gasket/seal
cams

So I think the result will be really good! :)

he he *LOL* No I don't believe they just flew right by my house and dropped it there!!!*LOL* But they might as well have done that!!

I think it has been on a truck (pallet truck) which has taken a quick turn or had to brake hard, and then fell down from what I think is pretty high altitude! :)

Well good luck, but remember something like a cracked head is not often visable with only a visual inspection.

That sucks ... it must have been one hell of a drop to do that sort of damage. At least it sounds like youre over it and getting on with the conversion. Cant wait for the pics and details.

And now a little Update!! :)

As you can se we have disassembled much of the engine to be sure no pieces are left behind! :)

I'm beginning to accept the fact that the engine isn't going to be ready Sunday, but it is a little hard!! I feel like a little boy waiting for my presents at Christmas Eve!!*LOL*

I could ...... :devil: the freight company, especially if they do not pay the costs now that I have paid for the parts!!! Almost 5200NZD or 2500USD when I have paid GST and freight

I have taken some pictures of some of the damages for you to see and a couple of pictures of the engine system if you haven’t seen it! DAMN that is a smart system VERY simple and VERY efficient I hope!!…… :o)

Have anybody tried these engines and do I have something to look forward to!?
