Friend?

Well, less than a year ago my mother was suffering from breast cancer. It was a really hard time for me, grades dropped, etc. Mind you this was like 6 months ago when she finished treatment. Last night, I was hanging out with my friend who I've known for like 2/3 years. He's burning holes in a Gatorade bottle. I didn't know what he was doing, so my inquisitive inquisition leads to this conversation.

Me: What the hell are those
Friend: Holes, like in your mom's breast.
Me: Dude, what the fuck, she had cancer like a year ago, fag.
(By now I felt like dropkicking him in the jaw)
Friend: "Yeah? So did mine"
Me: That's something you just dont fucking say:
(Now I through down my cards[poker] and left the table from I snuffed him)
Me: Just when I thought you couldn't get any gaer, you do this.
Friend: Ahhh, you gonna cry about it.
Me: No, but you're a fucking deustchebag
Friend: Why don't you do something about it.
(Now, I'm thinking, OK, give me a knife so I can remove your jugular throught a stab to the throat, and eat it for breakfast)
Me: What, kick your ass
Friend: I didn't say that.
Me: Whatever I am done acknowleging your existence

Mind you, he said all this in one of those yeah, imm right kind of tones, like he has the right to say that. It's been 2 days, I refuse to talk to him, cause hes such a fag. I was wondering what you guys think you might've done, what I should've done, what I should do, etc. Just asking for thoughts.

Was he doin' drugs? If he's your friend he wouldnt have said that. If that was me, the first thing i would have done was give him some face time with my fist. Thats horrible he said that......I dunno what else to say.

:shakehead... having read your earlier posts, you've got quite a strange take on life.

If I has beat the shit out of him it would have proved absolutely nothing to him. Yes, it would have made me feel better with some blood dripping from my fist. But me ignoring (yes I know, just like a girl) actually gets the point across to him. He pissed off a girl once, she ignored him, and he like cried until she talked to him again. So it'll work better. Also I'm not one to get physical wit someone else. I'm not a pussy, but I don't start fights. Someone wants to fight me, I'll kick their ass, but I don't act a fool.

I'm still ignoring him. But I'm giving him the BOTD. He was burning plastic and inhaling it.(He burnt the whole bottle) I'll believe he wasn't thinking quite straight. A simple "sorry" would have ameliorated most of this problem, but he had to be a deuschebag about it, so..

He's being a dick, pure and simple. Maybe he's still wrestling with his own mom's cancer, maybe not. Either way, not cool.

My friends and I have conversations that sound like that all the time.

My friends know not to talk that shit to me, and me to them, because we won't hesitate to knock the ever loving piss out of each other if need be. It's just not something you say. We all have great respect for each other.

When I was in your position, I didn't say a word and cold cocked my best friend right in the jaw. We're still best friends, but he knows I didn't appreciate that. There's been plenty of times he's done the same thing to me, so it's not a one way street by any means, just a lot of respect for one another.

You are doing the right thing. I don't think I'd actually ever talk to a person that said something like that to me ever again. It's just something that is totally wrong to say and you should disregard the person for life sober or not. I'd be questioning how good of friends you are. When it comes to friends you have to remember quality is more important the quantity.

He's probably dealing with his mum's own cancer. Don't take it personally, cos it doesn't sound like it was.

If he was actually trying to start something rather than just having shit on his mind, then he's smoking crack.
