HT Leads

A "pick your brains" type of question again :naughty:

When you wire your HT leads, do you have a preferred method for stripping that little bit of insulation of the ends to expose the pice of wire that goes into the holes drilled in the distributor cap?

I'm finding it very difficult to get a nice smooth-ended cut all the way around so that it will sit flush with the distributor cap. I always seem to have little "jagged" bits.

Cylinder heads are not a problem because the plug boots cover the ends.

Are there special wire strippers for 0,3-0,5mm wires? What do you use? I'm using a scalpel but it's a bi**ch  (not to mention risky!)

Thanks for any advice.

I sand the top of the distributor smooth once I have used the 'nubs' to locate the holes, then make up boots to go on both ends of the wires.
