I have a front headlamp unit on my Gen7 Celica which is frosted up by condensation. Toyota tell me they cannot fix it!
The unit is not damaged and I have only had this problem since I changed a bulb.
Can anyone help?

you probably knocked the hose off the back that lets the condensation drip out, or you didn't get the bulb and everything completely in, take a hair dryer to the headlamp, through the hole for the bulb to dry it out, the secure everything back in tightly

Yea my 7th gen has the same problem. I think it's a common problem with them. I'm just gonna replace mine with some aftermarket black ones.:grinyes: the hose on the back of the lights is called a vent tube and it shouldn't let water in or out, just heat. I worked at valeo sylvania llc for about 4 years and we made headlights for chrysler and a few others. the reason they leak is bad quality control at the headlight manufacturer. putting the bulb in wrong probably caused it though, just do what jwaj said and it should fix it.
BTW how do u like the tC j?

Thanks for that! I will have to give it ago. The only problem I no I will encounter is getting the main headlamp bulb back into position! It is such a little bugger to fit!

Thanks for the reply. I will give it ago this week. Hope it cures it! Well I have had the celica for 3 years now and really love it. i am ready for a change though and Im looking at a Nissan 350Z at the moment. I would love to keep the celica so hopefully going to trade in my wife's renault clio to assist with the funds! That way I will have best of both worlds!
