Read a repair manual while looking at your car to see what is involved and to become familiar with the job before taking anything apart. Repair manuals are available at autoparts stores, libraries, and from online databases that can be accessed through library and school websites. autozone.com also has some repair guides available on their website. It can be awkward to do without a lift and tranny jack. Have a friend around when you do the job for safety reasons.

Yeah i have the book thing it does not really put into detail the work that needs to be done. How long really would it take for someone with simple hand tools in there driveway to replace the transmission? I dont know book seems like it seems easy but I dont know.

Yeah that is what i was thinking. ITs going to be a bitch with just jacks and hand tools. Got to get it done though cause cant put it into gear when clutch is in try to push it into gear and the car will start to roll a little bit.

What do you not understand with the instructions printed in the repair manual? Which repair manual do you have?
autozone.com has some diagrams in their repair guide section. You will have to look at two sections. Removal and installation of the transmission and removal and replacing of the clutch.
