Infiniti doesn't seem to think too highly of our G anymore

from nissannews.com:
"Infiniti is supported by a network of approximately 150 retailers throughout North America and offers a range of luxury vehicles including the Infiniti QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle, G20 sedan, G35 luxury sport sedan, I35 luxury sedan and flagship Q45 luxury performance sedan."
so what if the G35 handles better, has more power, brakes better, pulls more Gs on the skidpad, looks better, is more luxurious... uh.... what else...
its still a damn fine car and it will only be thought of as what they're willing to call it. G20 Sport Sedan is what it is i say
its ghettolicious

It's like having a new baby. The newborn. It's the excitement of a new brand. But you never forget the happiness your first (child) brought you.
And you are right, it is more powerful, better handling and so on and so on...but I bought my G cause that's what I wanted, a 2 litre kick ass handling, good performance, economical and loads of fun.
The G20 has class, I will always love it.

Word up! I love that new G35, but, what about all of us 4 bangers! It's getting rediculous, this day n age. So what, in 10 years, is there not going to be a such thing as an affordable sports sedan? Honda/Acura just got rid of their Integra, now the G's too? Ugh, future generations are going to be stuck driving crappy Cavaliers if this stuff keeps continuing... :o

Yeah, it seems the marketing trend is for more horsepower and faster cars. This of course leads to a higher price. The G fit the market nicely when it came out. Manufacturers want to give us a lot more now.
The other guys will always be competing to make a faster car.

i found that the reason north america infinti dealers dont speak highly of the g20 p10 or p11 is: 1-some dont know the history behind the primera. 2- if the us could get half the features on the car from japan;i.e sr20det and factory styling, then it probably wouldnt have got replaced. just two of many reason. honda and toyota has it performance group. why dont nismo come to the states for infiniti/nissan; it is a market for it. ok i forgot the g35 has an decent body kit available for it. excuse me!

i think our cars is still been produced in japan, the primera. i think it's stupid that they elimanated G20 in order to bring in the G35. Maybe they want ppl to pay more for an "entry level" luxury car.
