14b is slightly bigger than the t25... the 14b came stock on 90-94 turbo dsms and the t25 came stock on 95-99 turbo dsms.

I would put the 14b in as the first turbo for a NT car. It makes decent power, quick spool, and they are all over the place. IMO, you might as well hook up a hair dryer if you are going to put in a t25.

Hey now, the t25 ain't that bad. Some of us depend on it to survive still. lol
Isn't scottsee running 14's on his t25?

Yeah, IIRC his sig says basically 14 flat. Talon69 (I think) ran a 13.7 on it too. I know its not that bad of a turbo, just pretty small. Also, if he started on a 14b he would be able to upgrade to a 16g or 20g that much easier.

Very true, even though I doubt it will ever get to see a 20g. lol

it was 14 sec flat without dsmlink FMIC & 3in turbo back... I'll see what this little t-25 can do next month when the track opens. =)

I'm all about running the 14b over the T25, but for a NT car that doesnt plan to run over say 12 psi, the t25 will do an acceptable job. The 14bs are getting older and older, so it should be easier to find T25s in good shape, unless the owner was over running the turbo for some time and wore out the bearings. They also tend to sell cheaper since to turbo car owners they have almost no value. I ran 13.7 on one as well with no fuel control or tuning ability, just a logger and a boost controller. But on a FWD like the NT the potential will be a little slower obviously. I think either of those two turbos would be fine. I guess another thing to consider though is if you plan to upgrade later on the IC piping will be very different, so it might make sense to set it up for the 14b initially to avoid having to rework the whole setup if you decide to upgrade.
