CD stuck in Player (1998 4Runner)
I have a 1998 4Runner with a CD stuck in the player (it is not a changer). I believe there is an additional problem. The player seems to act is if there is no CD in the changer and no power but there is power to the radio and tape player. When I tried to fish it out with a pair of needle nose pilars I found a metal bar ubstrucking my path. I can see the CD but it seemed to be down in the player. I don't seem to see any way off opening up the player with out removing the console. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance

try just diconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for about 5 minutes, I know it resets all the radio stations.

If that doesn't work then you might have to bite the bullett and remove the cd player from the dash and open it up to get the cd out and then replace it with an aftermarket cd player. Pretty expensive cd but if you plan on listening to any in the future then that's what will probably have to happen.

I have the same problem with my cd player sometimes, but i figured out that if i stick a driver license or some sort of card, and it will put the cd back in place and it will pop out when u press the eject. Dont know if that woulda work for your but it always worked for mine

good, cuz I was out of ideas that didn't involve removing the radio etc ...
