Which Motor?

As some of you know I have a 1991 SL 3000GT. When I bought it, it had a brand new transmission and an imported motor from Japan with 35k miles on it. Is it possible that the new motor put into it was the 222hp motor instead of the 218hp motor? And if so, what is the difference between the two different types of engines? Or, do they have different specs on the 3000gt engines in Japan? Hmmm, mabye that's why I'm running 12 second 1/4 miles. J/K

There is no difference and the 3000gt never really had 222hp. It was overrated from the factory.

The 218hp rating was given starting in 97. Still overrated though.
