What kind of OIL?

What kind of oil is everybody using and what weight?

Mobile 1, 10W30. Its more expensive, but 4G63's are picky so i dont mind the extra coin.

I use Mobile One too, 10w30. For a filter get the Napa ones. They're made by Wix and are good quality.

Mike's DSM is also running 10w-30 Mobile 1. I made a thread on this like last week (I think its still on the first page of the Performance subforum) and I got recommended Castrol GTX, Mobil 1, Royal Purple, and Amsoil. I may shell out $6 a quart for Royal Purple or Amsoil, but otherwise I will be going with Mobil 1, which is around $4 a quart here.

mobil 1 10w30 with mitsubishi oil filter, yes even the rs I still put money on it to maintaint.( my mitsubishi dealer recently move to new location, so every time I went there I bought 10 filter, so every 3-4 year I come back :naughty: ) It been 2 year since I wen there.

Amsoil High Performance 10w40, but I am switching to Amsoil Series 2000 20w50 racing oil. I also use Amsoil filters.;)

Cheap ass 20W-50 heavy wt. Penzzoil. Changed every 1500 miles.

Amsoil 10w-30

my 300zx didn't like anything but Royal Purple, 10w30 with a k and n oil filter. Even though its 6 bucks a quart I think its worth it. example, before my 300zx I had a 96 Nissan sentra, I put royal purple in for the first oil change. It ran smooth not one problem. my next oil change I was running short on oil so I put in castrol, my gas mileage went down, it felt sluggish, and the engine started getting really load, so I put royal again and all the problems went away.

I meant to say that I was running short on money so put in castrol.

synthetic 10w30 mostly mobil

i'm from Eau Claire, WI...so I can not WAIT for summer to hit again...this will be my first summer with a turbo'd eclipse

Im from Superior, WI and not that winters almost over (it just thundered and poured this morning) im going from quaker state 5w-30 synthetic to a 10w-30 for spring/summer. Where is that meet going to be held?

Most likely at Rock Falls in Eau Claire sometime this summer, probably in the middle/end of July. Kinda depends when other meets are.

A little town in northern Minnesota. Rock Falls seemed to be fairly inbetween Chicago and all of us up here in the sticks. I think we will just go in on a test-and-tune saturday or something. We'll probably run the track in the morning/early afternoon, have a car show/cook out/hang out/swap meet in the late afternoon/evening and maybe a cruise before we disband that night. As far as I know, we have like 12-18 going for sure and maybe like another 15 or so considering it. I'm sure there are people that didnt reply to any of the threads and friends of the ones going that are cosidering/planning on going. It should be a good time.
