im new to the forums so be easy...

i just bought a 97 civic dx coupe about a mounth ago. from what ive read your not going to get any decent horsepower or torque out of this 1.6 non vtec engine without nitros or turbocharging so im guessing the best thing to do would be to drop in a different engine and work from there. heres were u guys and gals come in what would be a good replacement how much would it run me...and if im wrong all together and if i can just stick with this motor what would u suggest i do to it.

thnx in advance ryan

Go with either a b16 or a b18, you'll be extremely happy with the results

it depends on your buget.
if u bolt up a turbo to that motor on your car at about 9psi u can be spankin mustangs, type r, b20vtecs and any other mildly hook up dohc honda.=turbo kit $1500-2000.

u get a '99 ls motor boost it turbo n nos head geaskit (on about 22psi)(its haddles more compression) a chiped p28 computer(which is a '92-95 civic computer) and put 440 cc injectors u will mop up the floor with everything on the street and some track. price $4500-6000

this is someof the stuff in my motor n i run 11:69 et no nos
