is it true that a chip in the iat sensor makes yr car run rich; and if it does could i put a 60 mm tb on my 97 sohc to compensate.

Tricking the PCM into thinking there is colder air coming in causes it to dump more fuel into the engine. A bigger TB would only dump more fuel in there as well. Think about it, if the chip really worked then every drag racer would be running one!

yes a chip may work, but you have the chance of messing up the PCM, and the 60mm tb is kinda a bad idea, a 55mm tb would do just fine, having a to big tb can hurt overall performance. unless you seriously changed the air flow characteristics inside your engine, i wouldnt use anything bigger than 55mm.
