Shifter stick

Hi again all.
98 Bravada
New problem for the experts in the house.

Trying to shift out of Park has become quite a pain.

I usually have to repeatedly press the button on the shifter while pulling the shifter back and forth until the button finally goes in allowing me to shift out
of park.

Once out of Park everything goes smoothly.

I know this is probably some kind of electrical problem - as if they have to electrify the damn shifter button ! !

try changing your brake pedal switch first, under $10 and easy to do. the brake pedal switch has to be activated first to move the shifter out of park, a nice safety feature if you have kids.
