hello peeps.

my name is alex and i am mainly familiar with the modeling forum, however i love drawing so i guess i will post from now on my drawings.

i just started a silverado truck, and i plan on spending a lot of time on this drawing (usually ill spend about 2 hours max on a drawing, so this will be a change-but hopefully will result in much better quality). leave comments, etc for advice if you would like.

thanks alex and jd!! ive actually found some time for drawing today so i have been working on this truck non stop. i usually like to critic myself hard, and so i can say the two front wheels look a bit awkward, but ill try and fix the few problems here in a while.

ok i finished coloring/rendering with normal crayola colored pencils. there is alot of texture, and its evident. ill make a copy of the original and try stacking paper under my next attempt, if that helps.

i just went out and bought 12 prismacolored pencils, and now im broke:frown: , but ill see what happens next drawing.

thanx jd for the comment, its not perfect but thats fine, always room to imporve.

Great work, öove to see the development of someone elses work. great perspectice, every line looks perfect, well maybe there's something wrong with the grill, but don't mind. the colors are a bit soft, I miss some contrast in it, somehow.

Maybe you try to put a few more layers on it, that could help. and to get rid of the texture, take a q-tip for each color and wipe and smudge on the colored area. this will get the color into the areas where is no color yet.

Great work, I can't wait for seeing next one!

It needs a bit more contrast in certain areas, but the perspectives are perfect.

thanks for the comments everyone. i wish i was better at coloring, etc, but i shall give it another attmept tonight and see what happens.

im not sure if i should use the same color pencil, and just apply harder to the paper for darker spots, or use lighter shades for lighter areas?
