96 Caravan signal light problem

I have a 96 Caravan and it is starting to have the left signal light blink and then stop/freeze and stay on. It will stay on when the vehicle is turned of. Sometimes changing to the right signal will clear it. Also just started was the emergeny brake light indicator coming on when going around a corner or hitting a bump. Occasionally the wiper will come on for one cycle then go off. I don't know if they are related but are new. It has been a great vehicle for many years. Any help to solve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.:)

Turn Signals > Read thread titled/dated: Left Turn Signal Not Working-1998 >>> 03-06-2006
Two problems 1) The left lights stay on with the key off points to a turn signal switch. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between pins 4 and 8 at the switch connector on the steering column with the switch centered. If there, change the switch. 2) They don't flash points to a Combination Flasher Module (CFM). Try reseating (pull out push back in) the CFM. Still broke? Change the CFM.

You may want to opt to change the CFM first before checking the turn sig swich. Over the years I've found schematics don't always show you everything you need to see.

BTW - anytime you're under the dash or steering column disconnect the negative battery cable to keep the airbags from accidently deploying.

Emerg Brake Light > The switch on the parking brake pedal assembly needs to be adjusted.

Wipers > This is a common problem. The wipers on my 96 do the same thing. When it was under warranty they changed the wiper switch assembly on the steering column. It fixed it for a year but came back. Now I just pull the fuse out 8 months of the year. But then I live in a desert region. Keep in touch

Thank you for your help Rip, I checked the cfm and it must have been loose because it doesn't seem to be stopping flashing now. Thanks for the other info as well.
It is such a pleasure for me to be able to receive information from individuals like yourself who give of their time so generously.
