Sport Z Magazine says 287 HP @6200rpm, 274 ft.-lbs @4800rpm, and Car and Driver recorded performance of 0-60 in 5.4, 1/4 in 14.1@101mph, top speed of 156mph - ECU limited. They also say that Nissan is expecting to sell 30,000 units in the first year, so they will be everywhere.

Motor Trend TV (Monday night on Speedvision) tested the Infiniti G35 against the BMW 330i and Cadillac CTS. The G has less power and more weight than the 350Z, plus the automatic transmission, and it still managed a 0-60 time of 6.2. Look for the Z to be very quick.

I doubt that they will ever make a forced induction version of the Z, I think they are focusing on the upcoming GTR to be the performance king, with either a turbocharged version of the 3.5L V-6 or a tuned version of the Infiniti V-8.
