How can i de-emonize my friend??!

well. i figure, who better to ask than other emo's. Yeah so i got a friend, who ive known for years and years. We've been in a band for a bit now. We started as 'pop/punk - rock' but its quickly disintigrating into straight up emo, much to my disdain (im a metalhead, what can i say?). but the worst part is, he's starting to look the part. First it was the girl pants. Ok, fine... i can tolerate that. Then the white studded belts...hmm.. he's starting to look like my ex. last week was the finasl straw though. He had eyeliner on. Fucking eyeliner.

I just bought an expensive bass amp FOR the band, but i'd rather take it back and use that money for a motorcycle if we're going to be making whiny ass-shiteating emo music (no offense ;))

Don't waste any of your time or energy on him -- I hear emos have the ability to suck the positive lifeforce out of anything within range of a studded belt swing or patchouli-stink hoody grapple.

My roommate has a friend who I'd consider pretty emo. Skintight pants, black eyeliner, studded belts, raggedy Chucks, long and unkempt black dyed hair, vegetarian diet consisting of salads, cigarettes, beer, and energy drinks, and a devout love of anything Sleater-Kinney :banghead: I'm not a big fan of hanging around him too much when he comes up to party or whatnot, since he'll often shower at our place before heading home -- and he's chalked up 32 different women, leaves long hairs stuck all over in the shower, and I don't even want to know where his hands had been prior to touching stuff in our apartment (there are some seriously questionable girls that show up at parties my roommate and the guy across the hall throw.)

Where do these people come from, why are they emo, and why are they drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, and fingering each other on the couch in my apartment!? See what I'm talking about? They'll suck the positive energy right out of you. Ditch this emo -- at any rate he'll probably consider the act just another rainshower on a day of black skies dotted by the forms of black birds cawing to a liturgy of woe and pain and sweet empty whispers. :uhoh:

theres nothing you can do, most emos dont admit to being emo. THey deny it and say they are normal and there friends are so much more emo than they are. There is an emo kid at my work, for the longest time he would deny being emo. Wed be like dude, your have long hair over your face, you constantly wear trucker hats, you wear skin tight shirts, tight pants, studded belts, you have a lip ring, you cry about how much your dad hates you. And hed still say he wasnt emo. It was crazy.
