Spoon engine!

What is a spoon engine! I heard it on fast and the furious, and here's a forum topic about them. What is it?

It's assembled by Spoon Sports. They get blocks from Honda, balance and blueprint them, and assemble with a 2-ply headgasket (raises compression a little). Nothing special, and way overpriced.

Yeah but with your answer people might not understand the specifics. Most people think that the Spoon engines are beefed up with Spoon cams and higher compression pistons, etc; and don't know what they really are. I just wanted to give a more detailed answer of what it is exactly. It don't matter.

Spoon acquires these blocks from Honda Japan and disassembles them. Prior to reassembly, Spoon precision balances and blueprints these longblocks to ensure optimum performance during endurance racing. These long-blocks are blueprinted down to 0.1g. and include a Spoon 2ply. metal headgasket that is all that is done to them. but go ahead and buy one and i could buy a car and turbo it for less money than the engine alone and still be faster
