Drive

Ever drive? I mean really...just drive..nowhere to go...nowhere you want to be...nowhere you can think to go. Just drifting basically (no...not going sideways:rolleyes: )....like a leaf caught in the wind.
Music loud...each breath visable because of how cold the night is...the roads empty...each shift feeling like a great effort...but you keep going wondering where it is you want to go. Wishing you wanted to be somewhere so you could just go there....

Its always one of those things you never plan on when you start driving. with me, I just get the mood to drive somewhere. and then just keep on driving. I drove to Iowa (100 miles away) just to get some Kum and Go lighters. Just had the urge to drive

most relaxingthing i can do, just go for a cruise on a warm summer night, windows down. Radio on, but not blaring. Just listening to the car, the wind, the radio. Driving around spiritedly. . .ahh i cant wait for it to get warm!

I hear you about getting warm. Its like 44 here today and you just can't wait for that first day where you can drive with the windows down. Can't wait for winter to be over.

Do it so many times it's insane how much gas I waste.
Sometimes I try and find a reason to go out and drive but if I can't I just say "fuck it" and just hop in and drive around town. Sadley I don't live in a large enough town to keep me occupied for hours of driving, such as Toronto and Montreal, but just enough to keep my urge at bay.
I don't do it as often in the winter months, mainly because people go all retarded when snow hits the ground and cause dumb accidents, and even though I drive cautious during these times, I can't predeict other idiots' movements on the roads. Come summer, if I'm in town, I shall do it at least once or twice a week.

Same here about the winter thing, I like it when I can roll the windows down, compared to not.. thats the main reason since it doesnt snow much in Texas if at all.

absolutely, about once a week
i usually use up like 1/4 tank on these drives. i put in some "The Doors" music and just take roads i have never taken before and drive until i realize i am too far from home, or i am completely lost.

Use to do it all the time in college. Especially if I woke up early and couldn't sleep, and had a lot on my mind. Grab an energy drink, roll the windows down and turn up the music.

I do it often. Weekends or whenever I'm not working. Highway miles are the best miles.
I just set the cruise, sit back and listen to the pipes talk.

i've driven to release stress many times, especially on a cool clear night. I don't, however, wish i had someplace to go. I love it just in my car. I just drive where ever i decide to turn the wheel. It's always fun to see where you end up, like your driving was your mind's thought process, and the final destination is where you can resolve something. I've ended up at friends' places most of the time, i'd come in all relaxed and unwound. i love driving

i do it all the time at least 3 times a week. just driving enjoying everything about your car. enjoying the nature around me. and how the road goes along with the stream next to me or just curves through the woods.

What is sad is when you take off one night, drive 600 miles into the desert at an average speed of 130 MPH and don't really care if you come back. Then, when you decide to give your life another shot, you turn back and... you don't feel any different than before you left. Your life is a hole, and there is nothing you can do about it.

i just practice reversing in our development's driveway...
i then get pissed off because i keep crossing my hands and the car's freezing inside. so i give up and eat...

I always mean to go to school, I swear...
And then I end up driving. I do it about 2-3 times a week. Driving really early in the morning is the best, like 7 when I have to go to school. Don't know how many times I've done it.

i've been with friends when we're planning to go somewhere, then just go straight past it and not care. not always in a car, often on a bus, just sitting on it talking and thinking, not caring. its wonderful, and i dont know why.

Lower gas prices first. Then drive aimlessly.

That's why I never understand when people say they dont' like to drive.
