my 97's Interior light stays on

My interiors lights stay on for about a half an hour after closing the door.....except when i drive it shts of when i start moving...and the "door ajar"...light stays on....do i have a sensor problem....where is the sensor located?????

Most likely the switch in the door latch is sticking. Clean it.

open all your doors, including the rear gate and window, spray some wd-40 into all the latch mechanisms, close and open the doors a few times, this should cure the problem, worked for me
