driver side spark plugs

How to get to these plugs to change on a 1998 astro. Please help as I can not reach one. THANKS

Jack up the front driver side and remove the wheel. there is a access flap in the wheel well. Its best if you have a long 3/8 extension and a swivel

I did that but could not change spark or wire. Did you go thru the wheel well also as I did not try that. THANKS!

It's been a year since I did mine. I know I did go thru the wheel wells for some. Others I seem to recall actuallt getting under the van and doing them from the bottom.

Pull the wheel off and you can easily get to all of the spark plugs with a long extension and a u-joint. You don't need to pull the dog house.

Can the plugs come out without taking the heat sheilds off. I just went to change them on my work van and realized it is not as easy as 1, 2,...6. I looked from under the van when I went to do it.

You won't believe how easy it is if you just pull of the front wheels and use a long extension and u-joint. All you will need to do is hold the plastic splash guard out of the way. No need to pull off heat sheilds or the dog-house. It really is as easy as I say. Try it, you will like it.
