95' Accord suspension questions

Hey guys I've got a question and i'm hoping you all could help or shed some light on it.

So in a few weeks i'll have my liscence and i'll finally be a driver. The car i learned to drive in and quite possibly will be driving for awhile is a 95' Accord EX. When i practice driving in it it's pretty bad. The car seems and sounds like its going to die going over a speed bump. The car is great and all but i'd like to make driving it a better experience. Well my question is, what is the best thing i can do to the suspension for an easier ride? Is there any way I could at least do to make it sound better? Any help will be appreciated thanks guys.

That doesn't really help at all. How many miles are on the car?

The best thing you could is spend a couple thousand and upgrade all the suspension parts, but that's just stupid. Are you getting creaking, clunking, etc? What do you mean when you say it's going to die? As much information as possible will help greatly since we can not hear of feel the car.

I think you could describe it as clunking. The car is nearing around 170,000 so its been around. If you need any more info i'll be glad to find out more.

With that many miles it's hard to pinpoint 1 thing since the suspension is worn out. I would start by checking the struts/mounts, ball joints, tie rods, & suspension bushings. If you are not sure how to check it all take it into a Honda dealer for an oil change. Chances are they will give you a list of everything that's wrong with the car. Just make sure to decline the work.
