alright i have a 97 civic lx...

i have some adjustable coilovers and new springs (i know not the best way to go but too late now lol)

question is...alot of ppl are sayin its gonna be REALLY shitty and some ppl mentioned i should change the struts as well and i was wondering if thats necessary or probably just a good idea?

The ride quality depends more on the coilovers that you bought. If they're cheap ebay ones then yes it will probably be a shitty ride. If you actually spent a pretty penny and got good ones then you will have a nice ride, even with stock struts. On my old integra I spent some good cash on neuspeed lowering springs and used my factory struts and it was amazingly stiff and responsive. On the other hand I installed some $75 ebay coilovers on a friends integra and left the stock struts on there and that thing was so damn bouncy that it wasn't even funny.

To be honest with you, I would cut my springs before installing cheap coilovers on my car.

Never cut your springs...ever ever. If the 2 choices are cheap coilovers or cut springs, go with choice number 3. Choice number 3 you say? Yes...choice 3...save your money...and wait until you have enough for something DECENT. Never go cheap with suspension...pay now or pay later...do it right the first time.
