Need Help with this no start

Hi all I have a 1990 S10 with the 4.3 v6. It has 150000miles on it. It will turn over and sound like it wants to start but it doesn't get going. A friend said that these engines have a problem with burning up caps and rotors is that true and could that be the problem? Thanks in advance for any info.

Im not sure if they burn up caps and rotors but that certainly could be the problem if you have a bad cap and rotor

It seems like most starting problems are fuel related, but it's imposible for any of us to really help you unless do a little investigating first.

Look for spark, fuel and air, if it has all 3 it should run. But it won't run if only 2 are present.
