2000 4Runner Climate Control problem

My 2000 4Runner has a problem with the climate control unit (AC/ vent / heat). The controls for the AC, Auto, & Recirc, only intermittently work. It appears on the surface that it might be a bad connection of some kind since more than one function suffers from this problem simultaneously.

Has anybody else seen such a problem??

Any ideas or experience is welcomed!
