2002 Venture
OK now my Wipers only will work on High speed......nothing will work except high speed....
when i first turn the key on, with the wipers in any speed you can see the wipers and hear them move a little bit but thats about it intil you turn them to high speed. And if you turn them off of high speed they stop anywhere on the windsheild....so you got to kinda shut them off at the right time so they are down.
Any ideas what would cause this?

Sounds like the multi-function switch to me. OR the connections going to it. Just a guess though.

After some further research, I would probably check all the connections to the wiper motor assembly. My description of the system says that when the switch is turned off from ANY position, it should finish the current cycle and park.
Also, based on some other posts I have seen here, it could be possible that there are broken or loose solder joints inside the wiper motor control box.
Oh yeah - make sure you check the Pontiac TransSport and Montana forums too. They are basically the same van as the Venture, just different options & trim packages. That may be where I saw the posts about the wiper motor issues.

Its the wiper motor. The same thing happened on my mom's 99 venture. The wipers would only work on high. I replaced the motor and it works great. It only took about 30 mins at the most to swap out the motor.

Hi.
1. Remove the wiper motor
2. open the wiper motor box
3. clean-up electronic parts inside, and check all conections( problem might be from the screw in the middle of the box becouse, GM made the screw go into plastic so it can easily stop working properly). After u take off the black insulation from the box exchange with new insulatin, and outside of the insulation cover it with aluminum tape
