This bulletin board is full of questions, some relating to serious problems. If you post here, hoping for an answer, please have the courtesy and consideration to POST the solution AFTER it's been fixed.
Some of those are surely get fixed, not all of those cars get junked. This is not a well, from which you can only take out, and put back nothing. I have put back so far, where I think I can help. But what I see that it is basically a parasitic way of thinking, which seems to prevail to an ever larger extent; help! help! (gimme help!) but nothing after - (OK I got my help or answer, screw you until I need help again. - Feedback? Hell that takes time and effort - why bother? I only take and take, give back nothing).
Years ago these bulletin boards were full of able and capable help and good answers. It was a need help, give help idea. Solutions and experiences were given, offered, posted. I guess because of the now MAJORTY posters, who don't give any feedback, all those who did and could help, have left, given up, because they realized that they were just being USED by this ever increasing in numbers of inconsiderate selfish parasites (for lack of a better word).
The foregoing is not sweet and polite, but "don't wear it if it doesn't fit".

Just curious - What good would a search do if no one is posting their solutions?

Agree with Banjoman10 and Pete. I think I have gotten maybe 10 fixed posts on the site. I am on 6 or other sites and the fix post run about the same. So, I guess I may just read for awhile and see if anyone will have a solution for some things. I posted a question or 2 in the Vic forum and never recieved an answer. So, i guess this is a majority of posters that are car owners and not technicians. So, i will be laying low for a little while to see how things shake out. See ya if help is really needed.

I hear where you are coming from, their is nothing more frustarating than when someone has already had your same problem but never told how to fix it. I know i am fairly new to af, and probably have done the same thing before but please everyone, post your solution, even if it is explained how to fix the problem in the thread, tell us how it went, if it worked, if you found another way of fixing it. This could help SO many people and also keep from having problems that were already answered in previous threads :) .

I am a member of several automotive forums and I have found AF to be the worst for follow up posts on how successful repairs have been made with the advice and help provided by those whom have taken the time to share their experiences and knowledge.
If one asks for help, one should then post if the help provided was useful and share their experience.
This thread should be a mandatory read for all those whom want to be members of a forum.

In defense of those who do post resolutions to their problems I would ask that those of you who I have seen give sound and helpful advice time and again not give up on those of us who, even though we are not technicians, genuinely appreciate the help.
Currently I'm in the middle of a strange issue that apparently is going to require some time to sort out. I've gotten some good advice from Shorod and when I get an answer you can bet he'll hear from me through this forum.
I know there are inconsiderate lunkheads out there who never even consider to say thanks, I've noticed the problem myself. It's impossible to sort them out from those of us who will say thanks and share with others the solution we find.
Don't give up on us guys, we do appreciate it!
