Well here at work today I can fully say that today is one of those of days that is draggin on forever. So now sitting here horribly bored I turn to you people for you entertainment.
So lets hear about your awesome places of employment,
1. Insurance company (where I am now) the most awesome job ever if you can stand doing paper work and stairing at a computer for 8 and a half hours straight just mindlessly typing in information.
2. Sears Auto Center the better of my two jobs but because it work on comission I'm at the whim of other to actually break thier cars and bring them in for work. Although this job is actually entertaining most of the because of the people I work with.
Sorry if this is a repost guys, I just can't stand this anymore.

You want to see fun? Try Secondary Finance at a large dealership. People with rough credit, no money, and attitudes like they think everything that's wrong with them is your fault. Actually, I love it. I shouldn't b.s. It is very entertaining, and it actually feels pretty good to get someone who's had a hard time a chance to rebuild their credit. Hours suck, right about 72 a week, but I think I'll quit once I have a full blown ministry to worry about. We'll see what happens, it's all in the Lord's hands. I think it's a good topic, even if it is a repost. Many people change jobs, and there's always a noob coming around getting yelled at for bringing up old posts.

I work in a grocery store. Until the beginning of this month I was stocking the shelves overnight. It was the most mindless thing that I have done for 2 years. For the most part I was able to stock things without looking at tag to find the UPC. I am now a checker. Its better, i mean, my legs, knees, back aren't hurting all the time anymore. I have had this job for 4.5 years, and really need a change, mainly more $$$.

Yeah I know all about people who think that thier problems are your fault... especially in dealing with cars.
I worked at a grocery store for almost 2 years... then I quit to work in a resteraunt, but the work at the grocery store wasn't too bad, I stocked shelves and checked.... I hated checking though, I didn't like dealing with the people I lack the patience I think.

When I am working at the register that says "9 ITEMS OR LESS' don't bring a cart full. customer "Gee when did this chekstand become express, I've been shopping here for 4 years and its never been an express line before"

my job is cool just because of the people i work with. i'm a lifegaurd at a state park everyone is about the same age except for a couple cool old dudes. most days nothing ever happens so we play n64 goldeneye (one of the greatest games ever). we also made up a score card where you get points for doing almost anything so we're always thinking of things to do to get points. if it wasn't for the people i would not be there every summer.

Yeah those poeple were always at the top of my list.... I remember one time I almost actually got into a fist fight with one of the customers.
I was stocking produce (where I usually worked) and they called me up to check for like the 4th time in 2 hours. They were calling me up so much I couldn't get anything done really and the next day my manager give me a hard time about it so I was kinda pissed, went up to check and since my attitude was already at greatest this guy told me I needed to work on my social skills and of course I couldn't just let it go, so I told him he should keep himself out of my business, he took offense to this... The guy was kinda short and I'm about 6 foot so then the guy actually threatened to beat me up, then I told him I was waiting, then he just stormed out of the store... I got a nice long talk with the front end manager after that one.... but thats one of my better ACME stories.

I work at Menards, which is like Home Depot/Lowes only it's just in the Mid-west. I work in the flooring department which pretty much sucks because we get next to no customers which leaves me wandering around for hours and hours unless there's a lot of heavy stuff to put away then I get to have that fun...

i work for the largest utility company in New Mexico. I'm a GIS Intern. basically i look at data all day on the computer and check it for correctness. sometimes i make maps. i've been doin this for about 5 years now, ever since the end of my sophmore year in HS. it's fun and the money is pretty good. i sort of want to see what else is out there though. as crazy as it sounds, i sort of want to work retail for little bit, just to check it out.

Well, let's see. I've had the basic high school jobs, but right now I'm working full time at Home Depot. Nothing major, just being a labor worker for the most part. I am training to be an IBO> scammy I know, but we'll see if I can't manipulate it enough to get some money out of it. Also, now i'm working with a friend and her production company. She's more film and i'm more photogrpahy and writing. Together, she's a little bit country and I'm a little bit rock 'n roll...

I've got a couple of jobs right now. I'm a courtesy driver for a car dealership I work at. basically I get paid to driver around Champaign-Urbana, picking people up or dropping them off and the rest of the time get paid to sit on my ass.
My other job is the Arts & Entertainment Editor for my University's student newspaper. Salary pay, so not too much from that one, but it's a great job considering I'm a journalism major .
Currently I'm at work at the car dealership. As you can tell, I'm sooooo busy. I'm actually off in 10 minutes or so.

My first job was at Dominos Pizza when I was 14. I then worked at Blockbuster Video for about a year, then at a couple auto shops, then back to Blockbuster, then Costco for a day.
Now I'm a preschool teacher and it's great (most of the time).

I went to WyoTech and then to specialized Mercedes training called the ELITE program. Currently the dealership is hiring straight from WyoTech bypassing the ELITE training and not even considering UTI students.

When I'm at home I'm an employee of Valley View Ranch (where I live) and that means work on a farm, work with the hogs, care for them, other crap, help fix stuff, basically, work that the other people don't want to do...
At college I am a Parking Cashier which means during games/events at the stadium, i am one of the people that stands at the entrances taking money to let people park..... Exciting, like yesterday I got paid for 5.5hrs of doing nothing. I get to work 7hrs of nothing tommorow, and 11hrs on saturday.
Yippie, but hey, its easy money and I need it since I'm a poor college student with an SERIOUS audio addiction.

I have an assload of applications in now. I hope the one at Bluewater Outriggers (fishing supply store) comes through. My last job was working at a golf course as a cart attendant. It was the best job ever..except for the pay, which is why I left along with some personal reasons. At the end of the day me and a friend who was working there also would race the carts, jump them, drift, joust, whatever. Sometimes we'd convince the boss to join us, when he wasn't stoned out of his mind. We got free food, too.

I used to work in a lawyer's office, and it was incredibly boring. They took advantage of me a lot...I worked 16 and 17 hour days in the summer, and I was only 16. Pay was shit, too.
I now work at Skydive DeLand. It's the best job because it's so laid-back and I deal with skydivers all day long. I love it. It's the only thing that makes me happy sometimes. It's sad because I can't keep it forever, and I hope that I can find a career that I love this much.

i got fired from petsmart yesterday :( :( it was really gay actually. i was on a leave of abscense cuz my grades sucked and my boss was like that's totally fine, just call me as soon as you can come back. and in the 3 months i've been gone i've called them a few times to let them know i should be coming back soon. so yesterday i called them and was like good news i can come back april 3. and he's like well we scheduled you and you never showed up for your shift so we fired you and replaced you with someone else. WTF! he explictly told me i was NOT being scheduled until i called to say i can work again. he told me he called a lot and left me lots of messages. more bullshit, i had no missed calls no messages or anything. he's lied to me before about stuff tho. he told me i can go thru the hiring seminars again if i want to try to get my job back. idk if i am yet. :banghead:
