I just bough an Aoshima C-West RX-7 off of ebay. I am still waiting on it to come but befre I get it I have a few questions.
1. I am going to color it Silver, thats the color it is in real life, but where are some good and cheap stores I can get the paint?
2. Once I get it what order should I do things in? Should I put it all together or just the body or should I paint piece by piece?
3. Do I have to put anything on it before I paint it or just paint it right then and there?
4. What glue is good to buy?
5. Any other info for someone new to models, I have done a couple planes but when I was younger and I did a shitty job on them, didn't even paint em.

I bought this kit and its waiting to be built, i can't remember to much about it, but i do know you have to cut out the headlight covers to put the low profile ones that are featured on the box art, this can be a little tricky, but with a litte time and patience, you'll have them headlights swaped out, can't wait to see it!!

I just got a C-West Rx-7 and was disappointed with the kit. O.K, this was my first Aoshima kit -so maybe I was expecting too much. I know it's not Tamiya but the kit cost just as much! I'm planning to make it into the C-West racing version (which doesn't have the clear headlight covers so I can save them for a F&F veilside kit). I found the molding to be quite soft, the side skirts are not long enough, the rear valence partially covers the gas cap, the vents in front of the front wheels are missing and the nose should be flatter to match the actual car. Most of that can be fixed easily enough, but what annoys me about the Aoshima modified RX7 kits is that they exclude any hood details. In this kit the louvers in the hood are missing and I'll be trying to figure out how to make them next. The pre-painted gold Advan rims look GREAT even though the cool gold color is only on the outside and rubs off easily (better clear coat 'em fast!). I'm considering looking into getting a Tamiya kit and splicing the two together. Any ideas on this? For now I'll have my hands full making up the C-west decals.
