loudest exhaust ?

okay i have a 95z28 and i have a magnaflow muffler right now. But it just doesn't sound as mean as i would like it to sound. What's the best sounding mufflers out there. My co-worker told me to get a slp loudmouth because it's sounds really good. Any suggestions?

I don't know about drilling a hole in my exhuast, the last thing i want is a leak. But i was checking them out and the price aint bad. How much do you gain with a electric cutout?

some ppl claim a 1/10 or 2 but i dunno...

do you have any idea how loud a cut out will be? You would not be able to run it on the streets with out getting pulled over every time. And it will be so loud that it will get on your nervs.

I'll agree, it's VERY loud. The exhaust fell off my car the other day and I was running straight headers until I could get a day off work to fix it. However, I got pulled over two days ago and got a fix-it ticket because it was WAY to loud. So I wouldn't really suggest it.

With my exhaust completely intact i'm running straight pipes to a Flowmaster 40 series.. but it's not as loud as i'd like it to be. :(

Haha, I was tempted to tell him somebody stole my muffler while my car was parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot.. However, it would have been bad if he saw my muffler in the hatch of my car. :p

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I remember when something similar happened to me. Right before i got the headers, i hit something in the road, which cause my manifold to come loose. Absolute worse sound in the world. Car ran and sounded like shit. The headers saved the day!!!!

I heard the sound clip for a flowmaster 40 series, and i think i might go with that, i can't find a sound clip for the loud mouth though.

Im not sure, but i beleive only one type of flowmaster fits 4th gen camaros. and its the 80 series. cuz we have to mount the muffler sideways.

I had headers with GMMG chambered on my '86 z28, which sounded great, it's very expensive, and truly, it wasn't worth it, but search them on google, i actually got the recomendation from here.... I have flowtech headers on my oldsmobile, i put them on when i rebuilt the motor. when i started the car up open headers, it sounded MEAN AS HELL. But as I couldnt afford a full exhaust at the time, i put on dual 3" purple hornieswith turndowns. I drove the car for the rest of the season, and its easy to say it's the loudest car around.... I plan on putting on the 2.5 inch flowmaster american thunder system for $300 with the H pipe..... From what i know, rule of thumb is flowmaster sounds really good for a few months, i originally had edelbrock RPM series on my camaro, and it sounded alright, just not mean.... Glass packswith ALWAYS give you the mean sound, just not as rich and pure as flowmaster.... Chambered resonators give you the rich flowmaster sound, just way meaner.... Best of luck, grab a summit racing catalog and pick thru there.... Has anyone tried the Terminator mufflers? I always wanted to try them...
