:banghead: I am working on a 1988 Towncar. The problem originally was it would start and drive great, then once turned off it would not restart for about an hour. It also cranked really slow, which i fixed with a new solenoid. We replaced the wires, plugs, battery, cap, rotor, solenoid, and fuel filter. We also had the ignition module and alternator tested. They are both good. We replaced the ignition module with a new one even tho the old one was tested as good and started having more problems! Now the car wont start at all! I even put the old one back in and still no start. We have alot of fuel pressure at the fuel rail. I checked two of the injector conectors and they are geting the signal to pulse the injectors. I checked for spark at the coil and a couple of plugs and they are firing. This is where i am baffled! All the ingrediants are there for the damn thing to start. What am i missing? If someone has even the smallest idea please respond! Thank you much, sorry such a long post.

Are u referring to ALOT as it'll spray every where if you push the needle valve in on the test location of the fuel rail?? Still could be a lack of pressure, it must have 32-42 psi. Sounds like maybe a gradual problem with fuel pressure loss. If u do not have fittings and a gauge to attach at the test location, have someone to help u and remove the gas cap, listen for the fuel pump to run, as u have them to cycle the switch to the on position, if u need to, they can bump the starter, either way the pump should run aprox. 3-5 seconds.
