cheap lift

I just bought an 89' bronco 2, and I wanna get a 4-6" suspension lift, and theres only a couple places in calgary that sell/install them, most places are selling a kit for around 2400-2800 and then an additional 900 for installation so im looking at like 3500$$ which is alot

I'm wondering is there any cheaper solutions to getting a lift that's not crappy
o btw, i dont know how to install them and im sure it's pretty complicated, with the steering column, brake hoses, etc....

A suspension lift is hard work-there's a lot of geometry involved. If you really want a suspension lift over a body lift, don't haggle over the price. A cheap job could easily do in your Power Steering, transmission, and rear end at once.

do you know if body lifts are cheaper overall? and with a body lift do you still get more articulation, and can i fit bigger tires on too?

Hey dude, Body lifts are WAAAY cheaper and way easier to do($200-$400 they cost). But do not attempt to install one if you have no clue what you are doing 100%. Just think.... Your lift basically depends on those bolts that atatch your body to you chais. You will get more articulation but only because your tires will have more room to travel (Vertical), but that also depends on you suspesion.
I would just buy add-a-leaf suspension for your bronco.
The best suspension for your truck would have to be the tires.
The bigger the tire is the higher your diff clearance is, a suspension lift has no effect on your diff clearance at all. A truck with no lift and like 38 inch tires would be awesome. You have to do some major fender trimming though haha. If you put suspesion lifts in, you run into problmes such as linkages, driveshaft extending and angles, and othe rpain in the a$$ things. Thats why I think putting the biggest tire you can possibly put on your truck is a better idea than a suspension lift.
Although Lift kits do make your truck look way better and more aggressive, if your going to do a suspension lift, go for at least a 4 inch.
Just puttin' in my 2 cents worth, not saying anyone has to agree with me lol...

I'm with JP on this one. If you really 'need' a lift-the tires are going to be the best way to get your 'punkins' more clearance (Those are the front and rear axles.) A suspension lift will try to do the same thing, but it messes with the distances of nearly everything involved. (Steering, and driveshafts.) A body lift will get you more clearance to mount larger tires. My BII had a 4" body lift that allowed someone to put 235 series tires on. My Full-Size Bronco can use a 235 tire-so the BII was as tall as my Bronco.
